CVE-2025-29491Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Application abort via unchecked SWF allocation size

Published Mar 27, 2025 · Updated Mar 28, 2025

Excessive memory allocation in parseSWF_DEFINEBINARYDATA in libming 0.4.8 allows attackers to abort applications via a crafted SWF file. The parser passes the binary-data size to readBytes without rejecting an excessive value, producing a request for 0xffffffffffffffff bytes. A user or consuming service must process the file; successful triggering terminates the application without reported data disclosure or modification.
