CVE-2025-29488Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service interruption via InitAction buffer leak

Published Mar 27, 2025 · Updated Mar 28, 2025

Memory leak in libming 0.4.8 allows remote attackers to interrupt applications that parse a crafted SWF file. The parseSWF_INITACTION routine improperly handles a realloc operation while parsing InitAction data, leaving a 160-byte allocation unreleased. User interaction is required to process attacker-supplied SWF content, and repeated parsing can exhaust memory or destabilize the consuming application.
