Application crash via unchecked ABC allocation
Published Mar 27, 2025 · Updated Mar 28, 2025
Resource exhaustion in libming 0.4.8 allows remote attackers to crash SWF-processing applications via crafted ActionScript bytecode. parseABC_NS_SET_INFO attempts a huge memory allocation from encoded namespace-set data without rejecting an unreasonable size. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation aborts the process and interrupts SWF processing.
