Privilege escalation in IBM i 7.6 allows remote authenticated users with high privileges to gain root access via an OS command. The command swaps execution profiles incorrectly, preserving inherited permissions that let the caller cross the intended privilege boundary. Exploitation requires high privileges and use of the affected command; IBM has not disclosed the command name or deeper implementation details.
