Unauthenticated memory corruption via unchecked socket read
Published Apr 3, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC15 firmware 15.13.07.13 allows remote attackers to overwrite memory via crafted HTTP requests. The webCgiGetUploadFile function passes request data to socketRead without enforcing the destination stack buffer's size, so excess input overwrites adjacent stack memory. The HTTP path requires no authentication or user interaction, and successful exploitation can fully compromise or interrupt the router.
