Code execution via unfiltered plugin archive extraction
Published Mar 19, 2025 · Updated Mar 25, 2025
Arbitrary file upload in /views/plugin.php in emlog Pro 2.5.7 allows attackers to execute PHP code via a crafted plugin archive. The plugin installer extracts ZIP contents into the web-accessible plugins directory without filtering embedded PHP files, which the server then parses. The upload is exposed through the administrative plugin interface, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied PHP in the web server context.
