Unauthenticated service interruption via PPTP configuration buffer overflow

Published Mar 13, 2025 · Updated Mar 19, 2025

Buffer overflow in Tenda RX3 firmware 16.03.13.11_multi_TDE01 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted request. The SetPptpServerCfg handler fails to bound the startIp and endIp values before they overflow a buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is service interruption rather than data exposure or modification.
