Stored script execution via unsanitized connection names
Published Mar 26, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2025
Stored XSS in ScriptCase before 1.0.003 Build 3 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through crafted connection names. The New Connection and Rename Connection handlers in db_connection.php and db_rename.php store the Connection Name without neutralizing it and later insert it into generated pages. A victim must open one of those authenticated pages, where the payload runs in the victim's browser session and can read accessible session data or act with that session's privileges.
