CVE-2025-29316Public exploit

Sensitive-information exposure via watermark bypass

Published Apr 17, 2025 · Updated May 5, 2025

Watermark bypass in DataPatrol 3.5.2.0 allows physically proximate attackers to obtain sensitive information from protected content. The report states that browser Developer Tools invoke screenshot capture or window.print() outside the agent's watermark path, producing unmarked output. Physical access to a Windows session and enabled Developer Tools are required; the supplier disputes both bypass claims based on print-hook behavior and documented Group Policy controls.
