Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized CGI parameter
Published Dec 4, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
OS command injection in ALLNET ALL-RUT22GW 3.3.8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through the popen.cgi endpoint. The popen.cgi binary reads the command query parameter with cgiGetValue and passes it unchanged to popen, which invokes /bin/sh without sanitization. An unauthenticated HTTP GET request is sufficient, and the demonstrated command executes as root, permitting complete control of the router.
