Application crash via zero-length cache-image reallocation

Double free in HDF5 1.14.0 through 1.14.6 allows local users to crash applications by processing a crafted HDF5 file. In H5C__load_entry, a zero image-buffer length reaches H5MM_realloc, which frees image before an error path frees the still-non-NULL pointer again. The attacker must supply a malformed file to an application using the library; the demonstrated consequence is process termination.
