Stored XSS via unsanitized WAN setup fields
Published Dec 16, 2025 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
Stored XSS in Linksys E5600 1.1.0.26 allows remote attackers to execute scripts through crafted hostname or domainName values. The page_save component stores these WAN Setup fields without adequate sanitization, and the System Status page later renders them so a visiting administrator’s browser executes the payload. A crafted value must first be saved and an administrator must then open System Status; execution occurs in that browser context and can expose the session or permit router changes.
