Authenticated service crash via wifiPwd stack overflow
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda W18E v2.0 firmware 16.01.0.11 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via HTTP. The /goform/setModules handler processes a crafted wifiPwd value without adequate bounds enforcement, overflowing a stack buffer. Access to the management interface is required, and a successful request interrupts routing service without reported data disclosure or modification.
