Authenticated code execution via unchecked ZIP entry paths
Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Path traversal in JEEWMS 3.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code by uploading a crafted ZIP archive. MigrateForm.unzip concatenates each ZipEntry name with the extraction directory and opens the resulting path without canonicalization or containment validation. Reachability requires an authenticated session and a form import; successful traversal writes attacker-chosen files outside the extraction directory.
