Information disclosure via verbose 404 error pages
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 26, 2025
Information disclosure in Swagger Petstore 1.0.7 allows remote attackers to read Jetty version and default Servlet names via a missing path. The embedded Jetty server renders its default 404 error page for an undefined /carts endpoint and includes the server version and Servlet name in the response. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the disclosed stack details support backend fingerprinting rather than arbitrary code execution.
