Unauthenticated code execution via timeZone buffer overflow
Published Mar 19, 2025 · Updated Mar 19, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC7 V1.0 firmware 15.03.06.44 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted timeZone value. The form_fast_setting_wifi_set handler fails to validate the value's length before copying it into a fixed-size buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required to reach the network handler and execute attacker-controlled code.
