CVE-2025-2905Network attack vector

Server file read and service interruption via XXE

Published May 5, 2025 · Updated Oct 16, 2025

XXE in multiple WSO2 products allows remote attackers to read server files or interrupt service through user-supplied XML. The affected XML parsers process that input with DTD and external-entity resolution enabled because the required XMLInputFactory restrictions are absent. No authentication is required; a reachable XML-processing path can disclose filesystem data or consume resources until the service becomes unavailable.
