CVE-2025-29049Public exploitNetwork attack vector

JavaScript execution via unsanitized htmlData attributes

Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 1, 2025

Cross-site scripting in arnog MathLive 0.103.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through crafted LaTeX. The htmlData command accepts attacker-controlled attribute names and values that Box.toMarkup inserts into generated HTML without validation or escaping. Applications are exposed when they render untrusted mathematical expressions, enabling script execution in the rendered page and malformed HTML output.
