Unauthenticated code execution via GAPSMinute3 stack overflow
Published Apr 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 18, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in ALFA WiFi CampPro firmware 2.29 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTTP request. The GreenAP handler in the goahead binary passes the GAPSMinute3 POST value to sprintf without a length check, overflowing its stack buffer. The endpoint is reachable without authentication, and control-flow hijacking permits code execution in the router process.
