Remote code execution via newap_text_0 buffer overflow
Published Apr 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 18, 2025
Buffer overflow in ALFA WiFi CampPro firmware 2.29 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted newap_text_0 value. Public exploit references identify the newap_text_0 request parameter, but disclose neither the receiving function nor the exact unbounded copy operation. Unauthenticated network access to the affected device interface is sufficient, and successful exploitation grants code execution on the device.
