Program crash via unchecked parameter concatenation
Published Mar 14, 2025 · Updated Mar 19, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda AC6 firmware 15.03.05.16 allows remote attackers to crash the affected program via a crafted addressNat request. In fromAddressNat, sprintf concatenates the entrys and mitInterface parameters into a 512-byte buffer without checking their combined length. An unauthenticated HTTP POST with oversized values overwrites adjacent memory; a program crash is the only demonstrated consequence.
