Unauthenticated web-shell upload via unchecked attachment type
Published Jul 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Webkul Medical Prescription Attachment for WooCommerce 1.2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to upload web shells. The wkwcpa_handle_prescription_session AJAX handler accepts prescription attachments without server-side extension or MIME-type validation. Remote attackers need no account because the public storefront exposes a usable nonce, and an uploaded PHP payload can execute as the web server.
