Stored XSS via unescaped error-message parameters
Published Jul 4, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in OwnerRez API 1.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into WordPress pages. The plugin renders attacker-controlled parameters in error messages without escaping them before web-page generation. Contributor-level access is required, and execution occurs when another user opens the affected page, allowing script actions in that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
