Settings reset via missing nonce verification
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in CodeVibrant Maintenance Notice 1.0.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to reset plugin settings. The settings-reset handler accepts a reset request without verifying a WordPress nonce, so it treats a forged browser request as intentional. Exploitation requires a logged-in privileged user to visit attacker-controlled content, after which the plugin configuration is reset.
