Unwanted privileged actions via forged requests
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in W3Counter Free Real-Time Web Stats 4.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger unwanted actions. Patchstack has not disclosed the affected endpoint or the specific request-integrity check that is missing. Exploitation requires a higher-privileged user with an active WordPress session to interact with attacker-controlled content, and resulting actions remain bounded by that user's authority.
