Browser script execution via unencoded database name
Published Mar 27, 2025 · Updated Mar 28, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Kentico CMS 13.0.178 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script via the database installation wizard. /CMSInstall/install.aspx renders the new database argument into the wizard response without adequate output encoding. Exploitation requires high-privilege access and user interaction in the administration project, limiting execution to that user's browser context.
