Credential disclosure via cleartext HTTP web sessions
Published Mar 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Cleartext transmission in Arteche saTECH BCU firmware 2.1.3 allows attackers to capture web credentials sent over HTTP. The device's web interface uses HTTP rather than an encrypted transport, exposing credentials in readable network traffic. An attacker positioned on the device's adjacent network must observe a user's web session; captured credentials permit legitimate login but do not directly alter data or interrupt service.
