CVE-2025-2851

Memory corruption via plugins.so RPC buffer overflow

Published Apr 26, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2025

Buffer overflow in GL.iNet router firmware 4.x allows adjacent authenticated attackers to corrupt memory through crafted RPC input. The affected function inside plugins.so is undisclosed; public records identify neither the RPC field nor the copy operation that overruns the buffer. Exploitation requires adjacent-network access and low privileges, but published material does not state whether the result is a crash or code execution.
