Privilege escalation via unchecked code-generation edits
Published Apr 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2025
Improper access control in RuoYi 4.8.0 allows remote authenticated users to escalate privileges through /tool/gen/editSave. The GenController.editSave method accepts ordinary-user requests to modify administrative code-generation configurations without an effective permission check. A normal RuoYi account with endpoint access can modify, delete, or reconfigure generator settings and alter application business logic.
