CVE-2025-28398Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated jhttpd crash via unbounded sprintf copy

Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 14, 2025

Stack buffer overflow in D-Link DI-8100 16.07.26A1 allows remote authenticated users to crash jhttpd via a crafted remot_ip parameter. The ipsec_net_asp handler passes attacker-controlled data to sprintf, which copies it into a stack variable without checking its length. Low-privileged access to the HTTP management interface is required, and the published proof of concept demonstrates a service crash rather than command execution.
