Weak password requirements in OpenC3 COSMOS 6.0.0 allow remote attackers to gain administrative access by brute force. The authentication logic accepts clear-text passwords and permits passwords as short as eight characters, reducing the search space and cost of repeated guesses. The login interface must be network-reachable, and successful guessing grants the privileges of the single administrator account.
