Unauthenticated administrative command execution via WebSockets
Published Apr 18, 2025 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Incorrect access control in Itel Electronics IP Stream 1.7.0.6 allows remote attackers to run administrative commands over WebSockets. The WebSocket backend accepts unauthenticated SetName, SetUrl, and SetPwd commands without validating an authorized session. A legitimate user must already be logged in; an unauthenticated network peer can then alter station settings, redirect streams, change credentials, and interrupt broadcasts.
