Root access via unauthenticated service-enablement endpoint
Published May 9, 2025 · Updated May 12, 2025
Missing authorization in Victure RX1800 firmware EN_V1.0.0_r12_110933 allows remote attackers to enable SSH and Telnet. The unauthenticated LuCI action_test endpoint accepts name=ssh or name=telnet and runs service-enablement commands without an authorization check. Access requires adjacency to the router network; the enabled services permit root login with no password, granting command execution on the device.
