CVE-2025-28145Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote command execution via unsanitized partition parameter

Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Command injection in Edimax BR-6478AC V3 firmware 1.0.15 allows remote attackers to execute commands through a crafted partition parameter. The FUN_0045c97c handler uses sprintf to interpolate partition into a command executed by /bin/boa without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Network access to the router web interface is sufficient according to CISA's privilege assessment, and the published request demonstrates firmware-context file creation.
