CVE-2025-28101Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cross-user post deletion via missing ownership check

Published Apr 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 17, 2025

Improper authorization in flaskBlog 2.6.1 allows remote attackers to delete another user's post through a crafted POST request. The /post/{postTitle} handler accepts an attacker-controlled article title and deletes the selected post without checking that the session user is its author. Exploitation requires a valid session and CSRF token, and the demonstrated consequence is deletion of another user's article rather than filesystem-wide file removal.
