Authenticated file read via document path traversal
Published Apr 21, 2025 · Updated May 12, 2025
Path traversal in opencms 2.3 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through the document administration page. The public record identifies dataPage.jsp as the locus but does not disclose the request parameter or exact file-access operation that mishandles it. Low-privileged access to the network-facing administration interface is required, and exploitation exposes files readable by the server process without enabling modification or service interruption.
