Authenticated file deletion via profilepic path traversal
Published Apr 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Path traversal in PHPGurukul Pre-School Enrollment System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to delete server files. The manage-teachers-delete action in manage-teachers.php uses the profilepic query value for file deletion without restricting traversal sequences or the target path. Administrative-backend access and a valid session are required; a crafted relative path can delete files writable by the web-server account.
