Account takeover via state-changing GET requests
Published May 5, 2025 · Updated May 13, 2025
CSRF in Frappe ERPNext 14.74.3 and 14.82.1 allows remote attackers to alter or delete user accounts via crafted API requests. The affected get, delete_items, and savedocs endpoints accept state-changing GET requests sent with an administrator's active session without validating a CSRF token. An authenticated administrator must visit an attacker-controlled page; the requests can reset passwords, add privileged roles, or delete accounts under that administrator's authority.
