Arbitrary file read via cover path traversal
Published May 13, 2025 · Updated May 14, 2025
Path traversal in upset-gal-web 7.1.0 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through the music cover API. The /api/music/v1/cover endpoint accepts ../ sequences in the cover query parameter and resolves the supplied path outside the intended media directory. No authentication or user interaction is required; readable data is limited to files accessible to the server process.
