Unauthenticated command execution via NoticeUrl injection
Published Apr 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
OS command injection in TOTOLINK A830R firmware 4.1.2cu.5182_B20201102 allows remote attackers to execute commands without authentication. The setNoticeCfg function uses the attacker-controlled NoticeUrl parameter in an operating-system command without neutralizing command syntax. A network request reaches the function before authentication, granting command execution with the firmware service's privileges and allowing device takeover.
