Pre-auth command execution via unneutralized hostTime input
Published Apr 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
OS command injection in six TOTOLINK router firmware builds allows remote attackers to execute commands through the hostTime parameter. NTPSyncWithHost incorporates hostTime into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell control characters before execution. The affected builds are A800R 4.1.2cu.5137_B20200730, A810R 4.1.2cu.5182_B20201026, A830R 4.1.2cu.5182_B20201102, A950RG 4.1.2cu.5161_B20200903, A3000RU 5.9c.5185_B20201128, and A3100R 4.1.2cu.5247_B20211129; no authentication or user interaction is required.
