Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked CGI parameters
Published Apr 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 24, 2025
Buffer overflow in TOTOLINK A810R 4.1.2cu.5182_B20201026 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via downloadFile.cgi. The CGI handler copies the v14 and v3 parameters without checking whether their lengths fit the destination buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation can execute code or interrupt the router service.
