CVE-2025-27935Network attack vector

MFA bypass via unchecked authentication state advancement

Published Dec 4, 2025 · Updated Dec 5, 2025

Authentication bypass in Ping Identity One-Time Passcode Integration Kit 1.0 through 1.1 allows remote authenticated users to bypass MFA. The adapter accepts improperly validated HTTP methods and state, then advances the PingFederate authentication flow without checking the submitted OTP. A valid first-factor session is required, and successful exploitation defeats the configured second factor for protected sign-on.
