Arbitrary file write via traversal in upload name
Published May 5, 2025 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Path traversal in Srimax Output Messenger Server Manager before 2.0.63 allows remote authenticated users to write files outside the upload directory. When Output Drive is enabled, the server accepts ../ segments in the upload request's name value without confining the resolved destination to its temporary file directory. Any authenticated user can upload in that configuration, enabling malicious files to be placed in the Windows startup folder for execution at login.
