CVE-2025-27912Network attack vector

User impersonation via missing Content-Type validation

Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025

Cross-site request forgery in Datalust Seq before 2024.3.13545 allows remote attackers to impersonate an authenticated user. Seq accepts state-changing cross-origin requests without validating Content-Type, causing the victim's browser to attach an active Seq session cookie. Exploitation requires the user to visit a malicious site; local and Active Directory authentication additionally require the site and Seq to share an effective top-level domain.
