Privilege escalation in ESPEC North America Web Controller 3 before 3.3.8 allows physically proximate attackers to alter boot settings. Unset GRUB and BIOS passwords permit changes to bootloader configuration, kernel boot parameters, and firmware through USB media. Physical device access is required, and the attacker can mount and alter firmware partitions by booting external media.
