CVE-2025-27839

Offline attestation bypass via discarded verification results

Published Mar 7, 2025 · Updated Mar 10, 2025

Comparison logic error in Tangem SDK before 5.18.3 for Android allows attackers to bypass offline attestation on a card's first scan. AttestationTask.kt disregards the first-scan verification result instead of enforcing the offline wallet genuineness-check outcome. The path requires an Android application using the SDK and physical NFC interaction with a Tangem card; Tangem reports no realizable exploit scenario.
