SYSTEM code execution via crafted COM requests
Published Jun 4, 2025 · Updated Jun 4, 2025
Local privilege escalation in Razer Synapse 4.0.86.2502180127 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM. The razer_elevation_service.exe component improperly accepts crafted requests over its privileged IPC/COM interface and executes attacker-controlled code. An attacker needs local low-privileged code execution; successful exploitation grants SYSTEM-level control over the host.
