Administrative access via unauthenticated web and MQTT
Published May 21, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Missing authentication in eCharge Hardy Barth cPH2 and cPP2 firmware 2.2.0 allows remote attackers to obtain administrative access. The web interface and MQTT server accept network requests without verifying a user identity before exposing administrative functions. Network access alone is sufficient to reconfigure a charging station or access sensitive device data through those functions.
