Unauthenticated file deletion via unrestricted TTS output path
Published Mar 19, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Path traversal in AI Hispano Applio 3.2.8-bugfix and earlier allows remote attackers to delete files through its Gradio TTS interface. The interactive output_tts_path field passes an unrestricted path to run_tts_script, which calls os.remove whenever that path exists. Network access to the interface is sufficient, and deletion is limited to files writable by the Applio process.
